Hi family, my name is Kara and I am an Holistic Therapist. I am a qualified Occupational Therapist, Massage Therapist, Reiki Healer and vegan mum.

I have been a qualified massage therapist for almost 10 years and have experience working with many different types of clients with differing conditions. I draw upon my knowledge as an Occupational Therapist to help in the healing process of many issues such as, stress, anxiety, difficulty sleeping and pain.
Being trained as Reiki healer is a benefit as I am able to incorporate Reiki healing into my treatment and truly encompass the whole person.

When receiving a massage from ‘Becoming You Holistic Therapies’ we treat the whole person, which is mind, body and soul, this will leave you feeling connected to who you are.

Just the type of conscious people I like to cross paths with made my day! ...We chatted about veganism alkaline foods, energy transference, Dr Sebi, Dr Laila Afrika and growing foods. I gave them both a tomatoe plant each that i had grown from seed and told them both that one of the greatest gifts you can give is teaching someone to be self sufficient.

Greetings starseeds,

I hope all is well. The last 2 weeks have been difficult for me, someone who I held dear to my heart transitioned. I always knew that this would be a difficult loss because of impact he had on my life from the age of 10. He taught me so many things which I have held onto and taken through into my adult life.
I hadn't seen him for a few years...which breaks my heart....but I have the most wonderful memories of him which I will never forget.
His passing has taught me that the relationships you build with people are one of the most significant things in life and also the time you give to nurture those relationships. I'm heartbroken by this and its taught me not be complacent and think that someone is going to be around forever!

This has also made me think about social distancing which might be slightly controversial....I can't understand how we are not expected to visit family or friends during this time or even be able to hug them...has the government heard of sensory deprivation!? This lockdown is due to carry on for God knows how long, have the government actually thought through the impact on peoples mental health. We need to question what our priorities are, is it quality of life or life expectancy? This requires serious consideration by those participating in this plandemic!
Starseeds please go deep seek the truth and don't settle for what you are being told by the government...we all have brains this is the time to use them!

Pound/beat the front and outside of your thigh with lose my clenched fists. This bouncy movement brings blood to the surface and relieves stiffness after after sitting down for too long. 💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆 This massage would be great to do when you have just come out of the shower or bath whilst applying your favourite oil or lotion.

Soothe your thigh by stroking it. Stroke up the thigh from the knee, one hand following the other. Enjoy the difference in sensation between the energetic kneading and the smooth flowing strokes. 💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆 This massage would be great to do when you have just come out of the shower or bath whilst applying your favourite oil or lotion.

So we now start to break down the #legmassage routine I shared with you yesterday. 😊

Start the massage by stroking the whole leg from ankle to thigh with one hand each side of the leg. Start at the foot and work your way up towards the thigh. The pressure you apply should be a little firmer when stroking towards the heart or up towards the thigh. When stroking down towards the foot (away from the heat) release some pressure.
Repeat this lovely calming stroke x5.

This massage would be great to do when you have just come out of the shower or bath whilst applying your favourite oil or lotion.

We will continue with self massage this morning and add to our shoulder massage routine! 💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆💆 Shoulders:
1. Loosely clench your left fist and rhythmically pound your right shoulder. Keep your wrist flexible. This springy movement improves the circulation and can be very invigorating if you are tired. Repeat on the other side.

Whilst your doing this take some nice long slow deep breaths to encourage a deeper state of relaxation.

I will be sharing finsl step for the shoulders tomorrow so stay tuned.

1.Make circular pressures with your fingertips starting at the base of the skull and then working down either side of cervical spine.

2.Then knead each shoulder: squeeze and release the flesh on your shoulders at the top of your arms.

Whilst your doing this take some nice long slow deep breaths to encourage a deeper state of relaxation.

Morning Starseeds,

I really didn't want want to be writing this but after speaking with family, friends, following guidance given by the department of health and consulting with other massage therapists I've decided to suspend the Becoming you Massage service for a minimum of 2 weeks starting today.
Although I am doing my best not to get caught up in the panic I think it's important that I am responsible in my actions and be realistic at how this current situation could impact on my clients, family and myself.
I have family members over the age of 65 and I myself have had respiratory issues in the past. I also work for the NHS in a mental health inpatient hospital for older people..so I am on the front line and potentially more vulnerable to pick up any viruses and my patients that I work with are extremely vulnerable.

That being said, I think this time is also an opportunity for us to reflect and potentially see the positives in this such as; being able to spend time with family, be creative, work on that business plan, update your website, read, meditate or even start a blog. 💚🙏💚🙏💚🙏💚🙏💚🙏💚🙏 What’s the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser. This is particularly important after taking public transport.Use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in a bin.Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces in the home and work environment.Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands

In spirit of Women's international day I thought I would share one of my favourite crystals with you. It's always kept safely tucked away in my bra..🙏😊 Chrysocolla is often called “The Goddess Stone” or “The Wise Woman Stone” as it is a gorgeous blue-green stone which exudes a deep feminine energy. A powerful cleansing and clearing stone, it is connected to the throat chakra, can be used to balance and heal thyroid issues and its use as a communication aid.

The Chrysocolla was one of the first crystals that I was drawn too. You do not have to be grimacing through your massage 🤣 If you are recieving a deep tissue or sports massage there may be certain areas that are slightly more sensitive but whilst the muscle is being worked on it should feel comfortably uncomfortable.
